Arnaitok Arena Closed

November 25, 2024 – Iqaluit, Nunavut

The City of Iqaluit would like to inform residents that the Arnaitok Arena is temporarily closed due to unsafe ice conditions caused by a malfunctioning compressor, which has rendered the ice surface unsuitable for use.

To minimize disruptions, the City is working closely with affected user groups to relocate their activities to the Arctic Winter Games Arena. A temporary schedule is being implemented; however, some groups may experience a reduction in ice time during this period.

The City appreciates the community's understanding and patience as we address this issue and ensure the safety of all users.
