PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT
The City asks residents to stay clear of
Road to Nowhere Emergency
Pumping Site
AUGUST 19 (Iqaluit, Nunavut) – The City of Iqaluit is advising residents that access north of the Road to Nowhere Bridge will be closed and restricted from public use until the Emergency Pumping project is complete. Temporary barricades and signage are posted at the site to advise the public.
The City is asking the public to avoid areas under construction and areas where emergency pumping to fill the reservoir are taking place due to safety concerns. There are heavy equipment and vehicles working in these areas which pose a risk to vehicles and pedestrians. In addition, the construction site and access trail to Unnamed Lake must remain clear of vehicles and pedestrians to avoid any disruptions to the work that could result in pumping delays.
Please see attached map for restricted areas.
