Outdoor Ice Rinks Open for Public Use

February 28, 2025 – Iqaluit, Nunavut

 

The City of Iqaluit is pleased to announce that three outdoor ice rinks are now available for residents to enjoy! The rinks are located:

 

• Adjacent to NorthMart
• At the Iqaluit Ball Diamond
• At the Apex Playground

 

We encourage residents to take advantage of thee community rinks for skating and recreational activities. For safety reasons, parental supervision is recommended for children under the age of 12, and helmets are strongly encouraged for all skaters.

 

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, we kindly ask users to be respectful of other skaters and the rink itself. Please refrain from bringing food and drinks onto the ice surface.

 

Please note: These ice rinks are not supervised by City staff. Skating is at your own risk, and the City of Iqaluit is not liable for any injuries that may occur on these sites.
