
Removal of Historic Fuel Tank – Source of Water Treatment Plant Contamination
The City has successfully removed the historic fuel storage tank adjacent to the water treatment
plant, under the direction of Qikiqtaaluk Environment al The City’s Engineering consultant, WSP,
has been providing the technical guidance in this ongoing water emergency.

While the removal of the tank is an important step in the remediation process, residents are
reminded that the Do Not Consume Advisory remains in place until further notice.
