Road Closure –Painting of Pride Crosswalk at Joamie School 

June 17, 2022 – Iqaluit, Nunavut

The City of Iqaluit would like to inform residents that Niaqunngusiariaq Drive (adjacent to Joamie School – see map below) will be closed to all traffic on Sunday, June 19, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. This closure is to allow for the painting a crosswalk:

•Joamie School crosswalk crossing Niaqunngusiariaq Drive

This crosswalk painting is in accordance with Motion #22-173, which was unanimously passed by the Iqaluit City Council on May 24, 2022. The below map outlines area impacted by the road closure.
