ROAD CREW SAFETY
FEBRUARY 7, 2018 (IQALUIT, NUNAVUT) – To help ensure the safety of employees working on roadways, the City is asking motorists to please respect construction signage, and slow down when approaching and passing through a work area.

ANIMAL TRAP SAFETY
JANUARY 26, 2018 (IQALUIT, NUNAVUT) – The City of Iqaluit would like to advise residents to be cautious and avoid animal traps when walking around the City of Iqaluit municipal boundaries. Pet owners are also encouraged to keep dogs on a shortened leash when walking in these areas, to help avoid animal traps.
Most traps are surrounded with rocks, and can be identified. Residents are advised to keep a safe distance from any object that they believe may be a possible animal trap.
AQUATIC CENTRE BIRTHDAY PARTY! HELP CELEBRATE 1ST YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF THE IQALUIT AQUATIC CENTRE
JANUARY 24, (IQALUIT, NUNAVUT) – This Friday, January 26th, marks the one-year anniversary of the opening of the Aquatic Centre.
To help mark this milestone, and to say a very special thank you to all residents for their support of this new recreational facility, the City is planning a number of activities at the Aquatic Centre through-out the day.

MONDAY, JANUARY 15, 2018, IQALUIT, NUNAVUT - The Honourable Carolyn Bennett, Minister of Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs committed to supporting the Qulliq Energy Corporation (QEC) and the City of Iqaluit’s proposed expansion of QEC’s existing district heating system in Iqaluit.

Garbage Pick-up Schedule

HOLIDAY SCHEDULE FOR CITY OFFICE HOURS/TRUCKED-SERVICES
DECEMBER 20, 2017 (IQALUIT, NUNAVUT) - The City of Iqaluit would like to advise residents that during the holiday period, City offices will be closed for half a day December 22 and December 29th, and a full day on December 25 and 26, 2017, as well as January 1, 2018.
In addition, trucked services may also be limited for some holiday hours. Please note the schedule below for trucked-services for waste disposal and water delivery during the holiday period:
