CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITY IN ROAD TO NOWHERE 

The City would like to advise residents that in order to complete infrastructure repairs, construction equipment and work crews will be in front of building 4076 beginning Wednesday, January 16, and will continue into the end of the week.

While the road will remain open, the City is asking that motorists be mindful of the construction area, and adjust driving accordingly.

JOAMIE COURT SUBDIVISION BALLOT DRAW HELD JANUARY 14, 2019

More than 60 residents attended the January 14 2019 ballot draw at City Hall, where  Acting Chief Administrative Officer Amy Elgersma drew 19 ballots for Joamie Court subdivision lots that were available by ballot draw.

The subdivision will also provide two lots for affordable housing, three lots for Nunavut Housing, and one lot for Habitat for Humanity.

Alternative Parking Still Required for AstroHill Tenants and Brown Building Employees 

The City is advising residents and guests at the Astro-Hill Complex that work to repair infrastructure on the main water line is continuing for the Eight-Storey and Six-Storey apartment buildings, W.G. Brown Building, as well as the Frobisher Inn Hotel.

The City would like to advise residents that in order to complete infrastructure repairs, construction equipment and work crews will be in front of building 5047 in the Plateau area starting this Friday, January 11, 2019, and will continue into next week.
While roads will remain open, the City is asking that motorists be mindful of the construction area, and adjust driving accordingly.

SERVICE IMPROVEMENTS/ROUTE CHANGES FOR GARGAGE PICK-UP
As part of the City’s commitment to improvements to sanitation services, garbage pick-up routes and processes are currently being reviewed. An assessment is underway to ensure that service levels can be met in all areas of the city.
Once the assessment is complete, changes to the garbage pick-up routes will be implemented. Route changes will be posted on the City of Iqaluit web site.
The City would like to thank residents for their patience and understanding during this period.

CITY LAUNCHES NEW BUSINESS LICENCE ON-LINE SYSTEM
 The City is pleased to announce the launch of a new on-line business licence system, which will make business licence applications and renewals easier to complete and process.
This online system, developed with feedback from the Iqaluit business community, is designed to enhance security and convenience. The new system will enable business owners to:
 Complete applications online;
 Choose to pay online immediately or pay at City Hall; and
