Temporary Delays for Water Delivery and Wastewater Collection
September 3, 2025 – Iqaluit, Nunavut
The City of Iqaluit would like to inform residents that, due to ongoing staffing shortages and a mechanical issue with one of our service vehicles, there will be delays in trucked services, including water delivery and wastewater collection, over the coming week.
We understand how important these services are to daily life and appreciate your patience and understanding. Our team is working hard to minimize the impact, and we expect delays to continue until Wednesday, September 10, 2025. Staffing challenges may continue beyond that date, and we will keep the community updated with any changes or developments after September 10.
In the meantime, we kindly ask residents on trucked services to conserve water where possible to help ease demand during this period.
If you experience urgent water delivery issues after regular hours, please contact City Dispatch at 867-979-5650.
We sincerely thank you for your cooperation and support as we work through these challenges and continue to provide essential services to the community.
