Tundra Tidy Up – Thank You and Prize Winners Announced
October 08, 2025 – Iqaluit, Nunavut
The City of Iqaluit would like to extend a sincere thank you to all residents and businesses who participated in this year’s Tundra Tidy Up campaign. Your continued efforts help keep our community clean and beautiful.
We are pleased to announce the winners of this year’s prize draw:
• Residential Winner: Mayah Obadia
• Business Winner: Tulugaq Law
Winners can connect with Dominik Gagné, Economic Development Officer, to collect their prize.
Each spring, as snow melts, litter that was buried during the winter becomes visible. Campaigns like Tundra Tidy Up give us a chance to come together and restore our shared spaces. Keeping our community clean not only improves the places we live, work, and play, it also helps protect our land, wildlife, and waterways.
The prize packages are made possible with the generous support of the Government of Nunavut’s Department of Environment, Division of Environmental Protection.
Thank you again to everyone who took part in keeping Iqaluit clean this season. We will be back next year with new ways to engage our community in keeping our city and environment clean. In the meantime, we encourage all residents to continue picking up litter throughout the year whenever it is safe to do so. Together, every small action makes a big difference.
