Halloween Traffic Changes
October 29, 2020 – Iqaluit, Nunavut

 

The City of Iqaluit would like to remind residents to please use extra caution when travelling this Halloween night on Saturday, October 31st, 2020.

 

To help keep children safe while they are out trick or treating, please note the following Halloween traffic pattern changes from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.:

 

  • Tasilik will be one-way from building 2738 to building 4123.
  • Road to Nowhere will also be one-way, from building 4112 to building 2209.
  • Residents will not be able to turn onto Road to Nowhere from Niaqungusiariaq.
  • Anuri Street will be one-way from 4006 to 4086.
  • Okpik Crescent and Qiyuttaat Lane from Niaqungusiariaq will be one-way.
  • In addition, parking on the left side of the road will also be restricted during this time.

 

During this time, vehicles that enter Tasilik Street should exit by Road to Nowhere Street.

 

To help keep yourself safe as a pedestrian, please note the following safety tips:
 

  • Wear reflective clothing or highly visible clothing.
  • Practice safe road crossing.
  • Keep to the right as much as possible.
