Utility System Labourer 

Working under and reporting to the Utilidor Foreman the incumbent provides general labour services to assist the Utility Systems Staff as they carry out their duties.  The incumbent will be required to work independently in frequently assigned various duties.  For this position you must prove to be reliable, punctual, physically fit, and be prepared to work outside in all types of weather.  This position involves working in some areas with obnoxious odors caused by sewage/waste as well as working in some confined spaces. 

Education, Skills, and Knowledge:

• Grade 9
• Comprehensive English reading and writing skills 

Specific Skills or knowledge:

• The ability to follow instructions effectively and safely
• The ability to work in a team atmosphere
• The ability to work independently with minimal supervision 

Assets include experience in building maintenance, minor repairs specifically in the plumbing and oil burners field and the ability to speak Inuktitut.

The annual salary for this position is $47,751.36 plus an annual settlement allowance of $20,907.43 and an excellent benefits package.
