Small Black and Brown Dog Collected by Municipal Enforcement on September 29, 2025

A small black and brown dog was collected at large in the 100's area by Municipal Enforcement on September 29, 2025. Municipal Enforcement was unable to identify the owner of this dog, as it did not have a collar or tags at the time of pickup.

This dog will be in the care of Municipal Enforcement for a minimum of 24 hours from the date the dog was impounded. This may be extended up to 72 hours for captures occurring outside regular business hours (e.g., weekends or statutory holidays).

If you recognize this dog or would like to report a lost dog, please call City Dispatch at 979-5650 between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday to Friday or email municipalenforcement@iqaluit.ca.

Residents are reminded that dog tags are a valuable tool to help the Municipal Enforcement department reunite a lost dog with its rightful owners.

Animal Tags are free of charge from the City and can be picked up at buildings 1549 and 1085.
