2023 Business License Renewals
November 16, 2022 – Iqaluit, Nunavut

The City would like to remind business owners that the online portal for business license renewals for the 2023 calendar year is now open!

Business owners are encouraged to submit renewal applications in the online Iqaluit Business License system before January 31st, 2023 to take advantage of a discounted renewal fee. Renewal applications received on February 1st, 2023 and later, will be subject to the full renewal fee.

As per the City of Iqaluit Business Licensing By-Law No. 859, all business must have their 2023 license by February 15th, 2023 or be subject to fines laid out in By-Law No. 859. All renewal applications received after the February 15th, 2023 deadline will be subject to a $50.00 administrative fee in addition to the applicable renewal fee.

Business owners can access the online portal by visiting https://business.city.iqaluit.nu.ca/ and completing the online renewal application. Renewal applicants must provide an updated copy of your 2023 WSCC Certificate of Compliance along with their application for approval.
