Additional Potable Water Available

The City of Iqaluit would like to advise residents of an update to Bottled Water Distribution, ef-fective Sunday, November 14th.

Given the success of CAF-Operation LENTUS in providing the City's water filling depots with treated, potable water from their Reverse Osmosis (RO) machine, the City is scaling back the provision of bottled water to residents.
To date, more than 750,000 Litres of bottled water have been distributed to the community through the Bottled Water

Distribution locations. Though some of this is being diverted from the landfill through the recycling program that the Arctic Coop and NSSI have spearheaded, the City is conscious of the large number of plastics that are coming into the community, and is encour-aging residents to reuse their own bottles or jugs to source the RO water.

Bottled water will be available at the CURLING RINK, at the following times:

• Sunday, November 14th: 1:00mp-3:00pm
• Tuesday, November 16th: 10:00am-12:30pm
• Thursday, November 18th: 10:00am- 12:30pm
• Friday, November 19th: 10:00am-12:30pm

Residents are asked to be cautious and watch for traffic as they enter and exit the facility.

Recycling will also be accepted during this time at the curling rink.

The water from CAF Operation LENTUS' RO will remain available at the following Water Filling Depots, 11:00am to 6:00pm:

• Abe Okpik Hall Depot
• AWG Arena Depot
• Library Depot

Water at the water filling depots is treated potable water that does not require boiling before consumption.
