Cabins within the Municipal Boundary

September 11, 2025 – Iqaluit, Nunavut

 

The City of Iqaluit advises all residents that beginning September 25, 2025, applications for Cabin Licenses will be accepted for both new and existing cabins.

 

Cabins Zones: The City has established Cabin Zones, ensuring that cabin development does not conflict with future growth or sensitive environments. Visit plan.iqaluit.ca/map to view the Cabin Zones.

 

Cabin regulations: The City has enacted new Cabin regulations in the General Plan, Zoning By-law, and Land Administration By-law.
