Canadian Coast Guard Icebreaking Operations – Schedule Update
June 27, 2024 – Iqaluit, Nunavut

The City of Iqaluit would like to inform residents of a delay in the planned icebreaking operations by the Canadian Coast Guard. Originally scheduled to begin on June 28, 2024, the icebreaking operations have been postponed due to a change in industry schedules. The new start date for these operations is now set for July 4, 2024.

These operations are subject to operational constraints and weather conditions. The Canadian Coast Guard will send another notice 24-48 hours ahead of the planned operations in the event of another change.
