City of Iqaluit mourns passing of Margaret Gardener

On behalf of the City of Iqaluit and Iqaluit City Council, Mayor Kenny Bell offers his condolences on the recent passing of Iqaluit’s long-time community member, Margaret Gardener.

“We are greatly saddened to hear of the passing of Mrs. Gardner, who was a long-time resident in Iqaluit, and a pillar to our community,” said Mayor Bell. “My condolences go out to her family, friends. Margaret was a special lady, and one that will always be remembered in our community.”

Margaret Gardener leaves behind her husband, Michael, her daughters Ann, Pat, and Susan, son Kym, as well as her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
