City Office Closures for Canada Day and Nunavut Day
June 25, 2024 – Iqaluit, Nunavut

The City of Iqaluit would like to inform residents that City offices will be closed on the following dates in celebration of national holidays:

  • Canada Day: Monday, July 1, 2024
  • Nunavut Day: Tuesday, July 9, 2024

Aquatic Centre Hours:
The Aquatic Centre will be closed on Monday July 1 (Canada Day) but open with holiday hours on Tuesday, July 9 (Nunavut Day) from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM.

Recreation Facilities:
All other recreation facilities will be closed on these days as City recreation staff will be assisting with holiday events. However, on Monday, July 1, there will be free turf and bouncy castles available at the AWG Arena from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.

Trucked Services:
Trucked services will not be impacted by the holiday and will operate their regular hours.
