
Council will hold a Public Hearing: Live Stream
The following change is proposed:
1. To approve an amendment to Zoning By-law No. 704 to:
a. To amend Schedule B of Zoning By-law No. 704 to rezone Lot 941, Plan 3596 and Lot 81, Plan 674 (Core Area) from Central Business Zone height 13m (B1[13]) to District Commercial Special Exception Five Zone (B2(5)).
b. To add Section 16.9 to Zoning By-law No. 704.
Lands affected by amendment
The applicant proposes to rezone Lot 941, Plan 3596 and Lot 81, Plan 674 from Central Business Zone (B1[13]) to District Commercial Special Exception Five (B2(5)) to permit a medical facility (Dental Clinic). The proposed development will be a three (3) storey mixed use building with the medical facility on the first floor and two storeys of dwelling units (10 in total) on the second and third floors.
The addition of Section 16.9 to Zoning By-law No. 704 is proposed as a Special Exception Zone to permit the following:
a. a lot frontage of 17.21 m
b. a minimum front yard setback of 1.22 m
c. the projection of unenclosed deck/steps (including ramp) to 0 m
The Public Hearing will be conducted while maintaining the Government of Nunavut’s imposed social distancing measures due to COVID-19. Therefore, this meeting will be held via a live-streaming link https://youtu.be/TLYfVEjZ5n8.
