COVID-19 City Update – Halloween Events Update

 

Halloween events, such as Spook-a-Rama, have been a big part of the Makkuttukkuvik Youth Centre. This year with COVID-19 guidelines around social distancing and other safety protocols, Spook-a-Rama has been cancelled.

Makkuttukkuvik Youth Centre will still be in high spirits as it will be open Saturday, October 31st 2020, for Halloween-themed programming. This will be open to youth ages 13-18 with a limited capacity of 25 participants.

This year The City of Iqaluit will also be holding an online Halloween-themed contest; best spooky photos, best costume for different age groups, and a pumpkin carving contest. Contest information will be posted on the recreation Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/CityofIqaluitRecreation.
