Full Road Closure – John Amagoalik Lane
May 15, 2024 – Iqaluit, Nunavut

The City of Iqaluit would like to advise residents a complete road closure (map below) affecting John Amagoalik Lane from Hanson Drive to the Rotary Park. This closure is necessary to ensure the safety of residents during the filming of scenes for the “North of North”.

The closure will be in effect from Thursday, May 16, from 7:00AM to 10:00PM.

Should the weather not permit for filming on above date, the date will be moved to a more suitable date between Thursday, May 16 and Friday, May 24.

Businesses and their visitors will still have access to their properties; however, they may expect to encounter slight delays, to allow for the conclusion of filming activities.

Trucked services will continue to service the affected areas.

The City of Iqaluit apologizes for any inconvenience and thanks residents for their understanding.
