Post Blizzard Update – City Reopening

March 1, 2024 – Iqaluit, Nunavut

 

3:00 PM - The City of Iqaluit would like to inform residents that the main streets are now cleared enough to accommodate traffic. Heavy Equipment crews are currently working on the side streets. As snow clearing activities are still underway, residents are advised to exercise extreme caution.

 

All city facilities, including recreation facilities, will remain closed for the evening. Residents can expect a Public Service Announcement later this evening, providing details on recreation facilities opening times

for tomorrow, Saturday March 2nd.

Trucked services will resume tomorrow morning.

 

The City would like to express thanks to all residents for their patience and understanding, as well as the essential workers who are helping to restore the City.
