Public Engagement Session – Mixed-Use Development Proposal - Jan. 22
January 9, 2024 – Iqaluit, Nunavut

Residents of Iqaluit are encouraged to help shape their community by participating in a public engagement session for a proposed mixed-use development along Sivumugiaq Street. Come learn about the developer`s proposal and provide your feedback and ideas to the developer, City Staff, and City Council.

The development is proposed to feature:

 Three large buildings of up to 8-storeys
 A mix of residential and commercial uses
 Up to an estimated 437 new apartment-style housing units
 A new hardware store
 Reduced parking requirements

The development will require City Council approval at several stages, including re-zoning the site, amending the City’s General Plan, and receiving Development Permit approval. By providing your input, your feedback can be considered closely by the developers,

City Council, and City Staff.

All residents are welcome as we work together to shape the future of our community. Date: January 22nd, 2024
