Test drilling in West 40
October 18, 2023 – Iqaluit, Nunavut

The City of Iqaluit is beginning work to develop lots in the West 40 Industrial Subdivision. These new industrial lots are needed to support community growth.

You may see activity in the study area over the next year starting with surveyors in October 2023. In October and November of 2023, you may see and hear “test pit” drilling, which will help us understand the area’s geology.

These are simply tests, to better prepare us for meetings with stakeholders and community members in the coming months. Please contact us to get involved or to receive more information.
