Update on the Inuit Child First Initiative

November 6, 2024 – Iqaluit, Nunavut

The City of Iqaluit is pleased to provide an update on the Inuit Child First Initiative. We continue to receive applications daily and are working diligently to verify and approve them as quickly as possible. If you have not received information regarding your application, please email icfi@iqaluit.ca for assistance.

 

If you have picked up your card from your chosen store, please retain it as your identifier. This card will remain valid until March 31, 2025, when the program is currently set to end.

 

Please note:

  • You are not required to re-apply monthly. Program benefits will be automatically loaded onto your account at your chosen store each month.
  • Some clients have reported issues with their NTI card not appearing on our distribution list. If you are experiencing this issue, we encourage you to contact NTI’s Enrolment Administrator for assistance. You can reach them at:
