The City of Iqaluit is undertaking essential sewer system upgrades in Lower Iqaluit to enhance infrastructure reliability and ensure consistent service for the community. This project involves the replacement of existing manholes and pipelines.

Updated Work Schedule:
  • Start Date: September 11, 2024
  • New Estimated Completion Date: December 20, 2024

The extension in the timeline is due to sealift delays and days of adverse weather. These upgrades remain critical to ensuring the long-term efficiency of the sewer system. The City continues its commitment to minimizing disruptions to residents and businesses throughout the construction period.
