Water Shut Down and Boil Water Advisory in Lower Iqaluit

Please be advised of a water shut down in the Lower Iqaluit on Friday, February 12, 2021 from
approximately 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. to allow for a repair to the water infrastructure.

Location of water interruption: Lower Iqaluit

The City of Iqaluit is issuing a boil water advisory for these residents.

This is a precautionary measure due to a break in the water line during a repair to our water
infrastructure.

The City recommends that all water used for consumption and dental hygiene is brought to a
rolling boil for a minimum of one full minute. Water can boiled in a pot over the stove, allowed
to cool and stored in a covered container or refrigerated for later use.

The City of Iqaluit will release a Public Service Announcement when the boil water advisory is
lifted.
