Road Closure – Kangiqsliniq Drive Between Aquatic Centre & Court of Justice
June 28, 2023 – Iqaluit, Nunavut

The City of Iqaluit would like to inform residents of a road closure planned for from July 1st to 18th, on Kangiqsliniq Drive, between the Aquatic Centre & the Nunavut Court of Justice. This closure is to allow for street upgrades.

Local traffic will still be able to access businesses throughout the duration of the work. The site layout and traffic control plans are shown below.

Pride Parade Route Change
June 8, 2023 – Iqaluit, Nunavut

The City of Iqaluit wants to inform the public that –due to construction- there will be a slight change to the parade route for Saturday’s Pride Parade. The attached map shows the new route.

On Saturday June 10th, starting at 11am, there will be a short traffic disruption for a Pride Parade hosted by Positive Space Nunavut.

Traffic Disruption – Pride Parade

On Saturday June 10th, starting at 11am, there will be a short traffic disruption on the Ring Road for a Pride Parade hosted by Positive Space Nunavut.

People wishing to join the parade are invited to gather at the Nakasuk School parking lot between 10:30 am and 10:45 to set up. The parade will begin and end in the school parking lot.

The parade route is marked in red on the attached map.

The City of Iqaluit would like to inform residents of a road closure planned for the Four Corners Intersection on Saturday June 3rd, from 7 am until 8 pm. This closure is to allow for street upgrades.

Local traffic will still be able to access businesses throughout the duration of the work. The site layout and traffic control plans are shown below.

May 19, 2023 – Iqaluit, Nunavut

The City of Iqaluit would like to advise residents of the road closures and traffic control measures being implemented along Mivvik Street.

These measures are anticipated to be in effect between:

          • May 20th – May 21st

This will allow for a culvert to be installed.

May 16, 2023 – Iqaluit, Nunavut

The City of Iqaluit would like to advise residents of the road closures and traffic control measures being implemented along Mivvik Street and Igloolik Drive.

These measures are anticipated to be in effect between:
     

    • May 17th – May 18th

This will allow for a culvert to be installed.

The City of Iqaluit would like to advise residents of the road closures and traffic control measures being implemented along Mivvik Street.

These measures are anticipated to be in effect between:
      • May 15th – May 29th

This will allow for service line connections and drainage work to be performed.

The City of Iqaluit would like to advise residents of the road closures and traffic control measures being implemented along Allanngua Street - from Akilliq Drive. This will allow for road repairs to be conducted.

Road Closure –626 Queen Elizabeth Way

April 17, 2023 – Iqaluit, Nunavut

The City of Iqaluit would like to advise residents of a scheduled road closure in front of building 626 on Queen Elizabeth Way.

This closure is scheduled to allow for the building to be connected to water and sewer. The site layout is shown below. These measures are anticipated to be in effect from April 21st to May 5th, 2023.
